Adalgisa “Gisa” Nico and her husband, David, are passionate authors dedicated to bringing the national parks to life. Their captivating book series showcases the hidden wonders and diverse ecosystems of America’s cherished national parks. Gisa, with her extensive background in education and a Master’s degree in special education, is committed to inspiring others to visit and appreciate our National Lands and Refuges.

Their first book, “Fish in the Desert: The Untold Story of the Death Valley Pupfish,” is a compelling narrative highlighting the importance of environmental stewardship and conservation. Join them on their mission to inspire others to protect these natural treasures!
